" Living in a Sea of Pink ": My name is Shelly I am a 2 yr Breast Cancer survivor. My husbands name is Brian, he is my best friend and soulmate. We met online through a friend. Five months after we met he had a stroke. We weren't able to see each other for 8 months. His sister helped him contact me again. We were married 1 year and 6 months after we met. We have been married for 4 1/2 yrs. I took care of him the first 2yrs and now he is taking care of me.We both have good and bad days but we manage! We have 6 children between us, 5 boys and 1 girl. We have 1 grandchild who is 4 and the high light of our life. It is the greatest thing in the world to be a grandparent. Life for me has changed tremendously since I was diagnosed 3 years ago with stage 2 Breast Cancer. I appreciate the simple things in life and try not to let stressful things bother me . Life is to short and we should slow down in our lives and take time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life!
